Once again, it's update time!: So, I've just finished the Pittsburgh Public Theatre run of Rabbit Hole, and now we've begun re-teching the show in Hartford, at Hartford Theaterworks (www.theaterworkshartford.org).
The run at Pittsburgh was a wonderful success, and was received very well. It's a production I am quite proud of. Rob Ruggiero has directed a very honest, clear, moving and funny production. He's brilliant, what can I say... : )
The cast (Joey Parsons, Dylan Chalfy, Jo Twiss, Alec Silberblatt) is wonderful. Our chemistry is lovely. We hit it off immediately which transferred into the family dynamic quite nicely. We're having a great time. In fact, we all went to Alec's Senior Prom together! The pic below is of the "adults" post-show, pre-prom (the Kid, as I call him, had already torn outta there to it ASAP). We had a blast! And since I'd missed my Senior Prom, it was a nice way to end our run in Pittsburgh. I'm honored to share the stage with them all.
Aside from massive allergy attacks for most of the cast (Pittsburgh Pollen = KILLER!), we had a lovely time in Pittsburgh. And yes, the rumors are true: Pittsburgh's housing is fantastic! Converted loft spaces, just two blocks down from the theatre... I'm just sayin'...
Which leads me to my next tidbit: HARTFORD THEATERWORKS HAS NEW HOUSING!!! Our cast is the first to use the new apartments in a brand spankin' new high-rise in downtown Hartford... also just two blocks from the theatre! We're talkin' BRAND NEW: the fixtures, the furniture, the bedding... awesome. The building has concierge service, parking, a gym with new equipment... it's so COOL! I'd have to say they have (from my limited exposure and experiences of others I know), easily, the best housing in the country now... congrats!
Think good thoughts for the Hartford run! And please come if you can!!! Show pics are below!! Enjoy!
ALSO: check out the production photo page... I finally finally got some shots from The Dazzle, which I did with Rob Ruggiero back in '03. Check 'em out!
Thanks for visiting!
